About Drapery Trends
Ella DaSilva, owner of Drapery Trends, is a certified window treatment consultant that has been in the retail window coverings industry for 25 years. The tradition of making custom window coverings started in 1978 and was passed down from with her mother, who was also in the same industry for 30 years.
Successfully selling her retail business Ella’s Drapery in 2019, Ella now focuses solely on Drapery Trends, working directly with other window treatment retailers, Interior decorators and Interiors designers, and specializing in COM (customers own material) custom window treatments and accessories for the trade only.
All products are manufactured in the Drapery Trends 4000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, located in Cobourg, Ontario.
Drapery Trends is a

If you are a decorator, designer or you have a store that sells window coverings and you need a work room to produce your soft window treatments then you have found the right place. We manufacture a variety of custom window treatments in our 4000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility.
Roman Shades
Corded or motorized using the metal RBS system. It’s sleek and easy to install. We provide a variety of romans including the classic flat roman, a tucked roman, soft romans and all the other ones too. All of our romans are reinforced with ribs in the back to make sure that it will go up and down smoothly.
VAlances
Manufacturing a variety of top window treatments such as Box pleats, swags and jabots, flat shaped valances and more. If you see a picture somewhere, send it to us! We will most likely be able to reproduce it for you. We can also supply the necessary Velcro tracks that you’ll need when installing the valances.
Bedding & Accessories
Manufacturing includes duvet covers, bed skirts, pillow shams & throw pillows, with all of our throw pillows including your choice of feather or polyester pillow forms. A variety of tablecloths that are lined or unlined, oval, rectangle & square, as well as table runners, placemats and napkins are also available.
Drapery Trends can manufacture a wide variety of drapery & Extras
We can also embellish your drapery with top or bottom bandings, leading edge bandings and a variety of trimmings. We also supply three types of lining a standard 50/50, heavy premium lining and a good quality blackout lining. All of our linings are the best quality that we can source.
Pinch Pleated
We provide four different sized heading styles 4”, 5” 6” and 8”. A variety of pinch pleated styles are available, not just the traditional 3 finger pleats. All of our draperies are made using a 2 ½ fullness factor, or you can specify your fullness requirement.
Grommets
Drapery Trends utilizes a very specialized grommet setting machine and offers 6 colour options for your grommets.
Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for our customers to chose the right products for their needs.
Wave
Wave is the fasted growing style of drapery. Also known as ripplefold drapery, Drapery Trends uses a special wave tape that can also be used for motorized drapery. This wave tape uses hooks instead of snaps and can be adjusted on site if adjustments need to be made to your finished width.
